We do not recommend other displays from other brands.

The Bluetooth connection is not compatible. 

The different voltage capacities of the display will bring short circuits if they are connected with a wiring harness. 

 

Can you run a system without having the display plugged in?  

Yes. With both ASI & X-Series controllers, this is possible .


For X-Series Controllers 

Steps: 

  1. Unplug the display 
  2. Short-circuit the B+ & Key-In pins using a bypass plug (attach reference images) 
  3. Ride as normal via throttle 

 

For ASI Controllers: 

  1. Unplug the display 
  2. Short-circuit the B+ & Key-In pins using a bypass plug (attach reference images) 
  3. You should be able to connect to the CYC app now & go to Peripheral Setup settings >> Disable Display >> turn this setting "On" & save to Flash. 
  4. Ride as normal.

IMPORTANT: 

  • You will need to cover the wire as damage due to debris or water ingress will not be warranted.  
  • You may continue to ride with the bypass plug. Riding without the display and with the connector covered properly will not void the warranty or cause any issues. 
  • The kit will be in its highest assist level in street mode by default.  
  • The kit will be permanently on until the bypass plug is removed or the battery pack disconnected.
